In my travels I made a few drawings of locals and gave them away.
This was a waitress at a restaurant in Natal.

These were guests at a wedding.

I have been so busy and not posting my drawings, or even coloring them! Here are a few I made recently, as in last month. Childspeak play post rock spazzy wacky fuzz and are never boring or predictable!

Kef play Balkan music! Alternative brass bands are in! Rebirth, galactic, Balkan beat box, and Slavic soul party are popular but there are many more all over the United States. Some of them gather on the west coast for HONK and Yonk fest.
These two sex positive environmentalist activists came to Eugene to share photos of their journey and tell us about ecosexuality. There was lots of laughter! Thank you As You Like It for bringing these interesting public speakers.
Beast of Eden play dark rockabilly rock and roll. They performed alongside burlesque dancers at Old Nick’s!
This gentleman really knows his way around a fretboard. He plays gypsy jazz and brings in some delta blues now and again. With Sarah as his accompanist, they played some fantastic jazz and instrumental Beatles songs at the local drink and draw at Sam Bonds Brewing. Listen to his fast, adroit, sensual sting massage and rhythm alchemy here!
I got to catch a live reggae band in a club in natal. Their music is on Spotify if you search for them. They didn’t have a live drummer, but a dj and they made the crowd dance with lyrics in Portuguese and English. Check them out!
A sleepy little beach town. Few tourists come here so there aren’t the quantity of bars and curio shops we have seen in the other towns. It’s mostly Fishermen, biologists and locals who have many generations here.

We came upon a festival, with lantern decorations and people playing music in the streets.

I took a walk east from my rental and saw a spot wher people were watching the waves crash on the rocks. Some were fishing with gigantic poles, some were drinking beer. I drew the spot from the beach, then walked there and drew the view from there.
Can you see the little lifts? This is sugar loaf mountain in Rio. It was cloudy today.
What a beauftiful place. I’m here in winter (June) so the beach is almost empty. But as soon as I approached it, I heard surf music in my head. Everything is like a surf music album cover photo. It’s so gorgeous here!
